INTO THE WILD
2023

In 2023, I took part in Into the Wild, Chisenhale Studios alternative artist development programme that offers 9 months of collaboration, mentoring and practical advice for emerging artists.

As the programme drew to a close in October 2023, with the shortening days and sinking temperatures, we came together to reflect on our collective learning, shared experiences and the whispering memory of summer sun.

In lieu of a final exhibition, we decided to honour our collective identity of reflective community and so made gifts for each other. Through this we each had the chance to spark creative joy through making and tender pleasure in receiving the gifts.

This film pulls together moments of our time together, our processes of making the gifts and beautifully written words by Aisling Gallagher narrated by the cohort.

It was made in collaboration with artist and filmmaker Ronnie Danaher and gives a glimmer into a bountiful time together that we will feel the vibrations of for a long time to come.
